mmmmm Chocolate

Wed night 12/10
It was chilly outside and we wanted some hot chocolate. We used to drink it all the time at home. They made the best hot chocolate at the North Pole, real chocolate, warm milk, yum!! Well all we could find here was a can of the powerded stuff. We found some small mugs that were just our size and marshmellows. Ok so they were halloween marshmellows but it was all we could find. Plus it was fun to play w/ the different shapes and thow them at each other. Well we made a mess and of all things Charlie decided to make angels in the mix that we spilled. It looked like a lot of fun and boy does he still smell good.

steady hands

Tuesday night 12/9

Well we were peeking under the tree and found a bucket of dominos that Evan wanted his mom to wrap. I decided to open it up and play w/ them.
Charlie and I had a lot of fun building and toppling dominos. JJ built his own towers and watched up. We tried to keep him from knocking over out stuff. The boys woke up right before we toppled a big tree. We got to watch them topple it though. It almost worked only the outside lines didn't fall down right.

updating my blog

Monday Night
Well my brothers are really tired so I decided to let them sleep while I updated the blog. It's hard for me to get on line every night to update this thing. It's been a lot of fun staying here. The boys have lots of fun stuff to play with and we love the Christmas decorations in the house.

It's Snowing

Sunday night.
We really miss the snow that we have all the time at the North Pole so we decided to make it snow. We made a bunch of different snowflakes and hung them all over the boys walls. We really need to make more to make it feel like home but it's a start. I suggest to J. (as he signs his notes) that they make and hang more.
Charlie got into the tape though and had more all over him than he gave to me to hang the snowflakes. I hear Baylor is just like that with the tape though. I guess they are a good match that way.

A Game to make it better

Sat. night 12/6
After our misadventure last night we decided to stay quiet tonight. We contacted Clover the reindeer (Dasher's son) and had him bring us a game for the boys. He brought Clue Express. We played with a few of the stuffed animals for the night. It's a lot of fun I hope the boys like it. We wrote letters to the boys to say sorry for the car incident. Well I did but Fle blamed me. That was so not cool

The outing

Night of Friday 12/5
So.... I think Charlie got us into a little trouble last night. We were craving some fast food and he suggested that we borrow the car to go get something to eat. So... um... we found the car keys and decided to go find a McDonalds. Charlie steered, I pushed the gas pedal and JJ buckled up to stay safe. We got there, some how, got our food and boy was it good. I think if we had time to clean up our trash we might have not been found out. Well that and Charlie almost drove the van into a tree. That coke had a lot of caffeine in it for a small elf. We are used to the sugar but caffeine is a different story.

Big helpers

Night of Thursday 11/4
We wanted to help with the decorations some also. The house looks really good but we coudn't resist the small tree that is beside the fireplace. We found some beads and ornaments and got to work. Thankfully it wasn't very big so Fle climbed up to the top wraping the bead around as he went. JJ was just goofing off and almost fell. He really needs to chill out. haa haa, chill out, hard to do when it's a lot warmer here than it is at the North Pole. I hung some pretty read balls. Good thing they don't break because we dropped a lot.

There was a mighty duel

Night of Wed 12/3

To quote a great movie (the Princess Bride for those that don't know). Tonight we found 2 castles. They looked neat enough but after some looking around we found a drawer full of knights and castle people. So we set it all up. There set them all up in a battle. I tried to work the rock throwing thing and JJ found a dino to ride. I tried to tell him that there were no dinosaurs around with the nights but he insisted. We pretended it was a dragon.

Art Night, JJ chooses the activity for the night

Night of 12/2

Tonight JJ found a Christmas coloring book. He likes to color even if he doesn't stay in the lines. We had to use some of our elf magic to get the crayon box down the stairs it was heavy.

Then we had to dump it out to reach the crayons. They have A LOT of crayons to choose from. Sadly we didn't get them cleand up before they woke up. Sorry...

Jacob was impressed that we didn't put holes in the paper since they were just on the carpet.Elf magic my dear, elf magic.

Finally December the Countdown begins

Night of 12/1

The boys mom had boxes of stuff all over the house so we decided to see what was in them and how we could help decorate for Christmas. We found a advent tree. I kind of miss ole Santa and it was Santa in a sleigh w/ the reindeers and ornaments you hang on the tree for each day. We couldn't resist hanging a bunch of them on the tree. Forget the daily numbers. It looked to empty with just the star on top.

We like to read.

Night of 11/30

We found some Christmas books and decided that in stead of reading to ourselves we need a audience. So JJ picked out a Veggie Tales Christmas book where they could look at the pictures and found Evan's animals. I helped him get started

I stay in the same room as JJ and I found Hurry Santa. It's a funny story about Santa running late and sleeping in on Christmas so the reindeers got him a gift of a alarm clock. Baylor has way too many animals friends for me to read to all of them, they all couldn't see the pictures so just some of the smaller ones came to story time.

Charlie was so excited to see they had his favorite book. It is called Santa's favorite story and it's about Santa telling the forrest animals that the reason he gives gifts at Christmas time is because he remembers that Jesus was our gift to the world at Christmas. This is his way of honoring Jesus and sharing God's love.

Wonder what we will find to do tomorrow? Staying out of trouble is really, really hard.

Night 2, Toys!!

Night of Sat. 11/29
Boy do these boys have some great toys! While trying to find something to do tonight I found a huge box of race cars. Charlie and I boosted up JJ, he being the youngest and all, and got him to throw down some racecars for us to play with. We took the out by the Christmas tree in the hall way and raced them around. Boy it was fun, especailly when they recked. Charlie got mad when JJ and I got a little too rough b/c we really like crashing the cars. I found the first Nascar car that Baylor got and played with that. I like Cherios cereal so it was a good choice for me any way.

Can't wait to play with some more stuff.

Our first night

The night of Friday 11/28

JJ, Fle and I had a great time exploring our new house. We find some sticky notes and looked all over the house and left notes for the family. The boys grandparents were still there so I had to stay out of their way. Plus the boys mom works till really early in the mornign so we had to be extra carful to not let her find us awake.

Any way we checked every thing out. We left them notes to let them know what we had been up to. We didn't mean to make a mess but we are small and it happens b/c the stuff in the house is really big. We let them know we don't like coffee (Coffee yuck! on the coffee maker) that we do like waffles (note on the freezer) and pancakes (sorry for the mess). We used the phone to call Santa. He was glad to hear from us but the time is different and we woke him up, oops. We had fun sliding down the banister and swinging on the fan. After dinner we realized we forgot our toothbrush so we borrowed their. (but left them a note, hope they didn't mind).

Here are some pict of the boys looking at our notes (Sat.29th)

The arrival.

On the day after Thanksgiving when the family was out shopping with their parents and grandparents Santa used his magic and sent us to our host house. We were nervious about our trip but really excited. It would be our first visit away from home. We showed up in a basket with a notebook so we can leave notes with the boys, a special pen that can use the the Polar Express DVD. It's important for kids to remember the magic of Christmas.

When they family got back the boys discovered us. They weren't sure what to expect when the saw us. The youngest one, Evan, was more excited about the blanket, go figure. Can't wait till tonight when we can explore.

Our Trip

We are 3 brothers who live at the North Pole with our parents, lot and lot of other elves and of course Santa and Mrs. Clause. December is a very busy time at the North Pole. We are not old enough to start our job training just yet so we were lucky enough to get to go to some ones's house for the month of December and visit.
At elf school we learn the rules of staying at people houses.

1) while we can hear and see the kids we are not allowed to let them see up move or we will loose our magic. So we get to move about at night or when the house is empty.

2)We stay until Dec. 24 and when Santa comes to deliver the gifts he will pick us up to go back home.

3) Don't get into trouble.

The last rule is the hardest because things are different in Richmond where I am than they are at the Noth Pole.
